Facility Manager at Mount Lofty

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate leader to oversee the daily operations of our 134-bed residential aged care facility in Toowoomba, South East Queensland. As a Facility Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the best possible care and have access to safe and comfortable facilities.

Mt Lofty is a state-of-the-art facility, architecturally designed to take advantage of its unique elevated position. The facility offers breathtaking views across the adjacent sporting oval through to the city landscape, as well as stunning natural views from in and around the building.

The modern design of the facility spans three levels and four wings, providing ample space for resident accommodation, communal areas, and administrative functions. Residents enjoy convenient access to local amenities, including medical practices, shopping centers, and public transportation.

About You

We are looking for an authentic, people-focused leader who aligns with our philosophy on resident wellbeing, quality of care, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading senior leadership teams to achieve accreditation standards, legislative requirements, and operational goals.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes clinical care, customer service, and staff management.
  • Influencing stakeholders to drive cultural change and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with residents, their families, and staff members.
  • Developing occupancy sales strategies and collaborating with allied health professionals to enhance community connections.
  • Driving operational excellence through KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Managing financial performance, budgeting, and P&L statements.
  • Implementing systems and processes to optimize business efficiency.
  • Thinking innovatively to enhance staff engagement, resident satisfaction, and overall business success.

Key Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding of aged care legislation, funding models, and industry best practices. You must also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Experience with NDIS sector compliance and commercial acumen is highly desirable.
