This is a unique opportunity to provide holistic & outcome focussed rehabilitation services to ADF personnel. As a Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen, you will call on your clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support clients who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses or trauma. You will:

1. Take a more holistic care approach & work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
2. Utilise clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support people who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses or trauma.
3. Work with motivated clients to develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans whilst having onsite access to medical and treatment providers (Doctors, Physio's, Psychologist, etc.) for additional direct support.
4. Perform a variety of specific assessments including worksite, ergonomic and ADL's.

We have a variety of working models to fit your needs. Part-Time (3 or 4 days) or Full-time positions. You will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise, setting you up for success.

The ability to work in a hybrid role gives you the flexibility to tailor your calendar to suit both your clients' needs and your best work life balance. Defence members work hours are 07:30 - 15:30 so you can enjoy early starts and early finishes.

What will make you successful:

1. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
2. Current unrestricted registration as an OT with AHPRA.
3. Strong clinical reasoning & report writing skills.
4. Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of rehab goals.
5. Passion to help people rehabilitate.
