The Role & The Team

You will be part of our Architecture & Solution Delivery team, ensuring the architecture of Adica's systems and processes align with the Technology Strategy and the organisational goals of Adica.

This opportunity will see you:

  • Build successful relationships with key business stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor, providing practical, yet innovative solutions to support the Technology operations of Adica.
  • Provide technical leadership with an understanding of ongoing architectural trends within the industry, as well as best practices, and assist the Application Development, QA/BI, and Infrastructure teams with technical solution design and options analysis.
  • Provide operational ownership and support of the Adica cloud landscape.
  • Work as part of project teams as the go-to person for architecture decisions, scoping existing and future architectures, create the required documentation, and propose future architectural solutions to meet the project objectives.

This role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract with a view to permanency. It is based at our St Kilda Road office, near the new ANZAC station, and close to accessible public transport.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • 3-5 years' experience in an IT Architect role.
  • Experience with Software Development and methodologies.
  • Technology transformation/cloud uplift experience.
  • Accomplished communicator with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the financial services regulatory environment, in particular insurance.
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Experience building cloud infrastructure using any modern infrastructure-as-code tool (such as Terraform, CDK, Cloud Formation etc).
  • ITILv4 Foundation.
  • DevOps Foundation.
