Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing, ensuring timely and accurate results. Located in Glenside, PA, our hospital is part of a vibrant community with a rich history and a small-town feel. The area offers a variety of parks, local shops, and dining options, providing a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.

Position

We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing those great experiences. When you join our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you gain access to a peer network of over 5000 individuals, CE allowance, and Learning & Development programs to help you meet your career goals.

Responsibilities
  • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
  • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
  • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
  • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
  • Proficient in dental prophylaxis
  • Anesthesia monitoring and assisting veterinarian during dental and/or surgical procedures
Position Requirements
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
  • Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
  • Pay range of $24.00-$30.00/hour based on experience.
