Aluminium and Glass Constructions are one of Sydney's leading manufacturers and installers of high-quality windows, doors and skylights for luxury projects across Sydney and greater New South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company with more than 35 years' experience in the industry and be part of a driven, supportive and innovative team.

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable full time window installer to join our team. The right candidate will be competent, enthusiastic and work well independently as well as part of a team.

The Position Involves

  • Ensuring all required materials are onsite for each job
  • Understanding structural/architectural drawings and ability to measure and prepare sites for installation.
  • Assessing risks for installation
  • Working in conjunction with builders and architects
  • Installation of aluminium frames, door panels and window sashes – this ranges from new builds and retrofitting
  • Lifting of heavy and large glass panels – using suction pads and large glass lifting equipment
  • Wet and Dry glazing of aluminium windows, doors and roofs

Any of the below attributes will be highly regarded but are not essential:
  • Previous experience with installation of systems from ALSPEC, Capral and G James
  • Excellent communication skills and have good attention to detail
  • The ability to work with a team and unsupervised to time frames and deadlines
  • Current car licence
  • Current White Card
  • Right to live and work in Australia
  • Own tools (preferable)
  • Understanding of Australian Standards for Building (specifically windows, doors and glazing)
  • Experience in fabrication of high-end products
  • Physically Fit, healthy and able to lift over 20kgs safely

Our team members come from a variety of skilled backgrounds including Carpentry, Welding and Boilermaking.

Any applicants currently doing their apprenticeship, will be expected to attend TAFE and all available support offered to them where needed. Senior students doing their journeyman course in Carpentry or students using TAFE to upskill and interested in pursuing a career change are encouraged to apply for the role.
