Job Title: Field Network & Security Engineer — Castle Hill, Sydney. Full-time, on-site.

Role Overview

This is a field-based, permanent position in Sydney that involves commuting to Castle Hill for an on-site deployment. The role is hands-on and deeply technical involving from physical setup to network and security deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-Site / Hands-On Activities: Perform hardware racking and stacking (servers, switches, appliances), structured cabling, and physical deployment of systems in live operational environments such as busy shopping centres.
  • Network & Security Systems: Deploy and configure networking and security solutions using Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, and potentially Palo Alto equipment.
  • OT & Building Systems Integration: Support the unification of OT systems into a single, secure platform.
  • Advisory & Future-Ready Support: Contribute to planning and auditing services to ensure long-term system performance, compliance, and scalability.
Requirements
  • Working onsite at Castle Hill Shopping Centre for the duration of a 3-month project, with flexibility to travel to other centres across Sydney for future assignments.
  • Hands-on experience in networking (Cisco and Aruba) switching/routing, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Aruba wireless solutions for deployment and support.
  • Solid knowledge of security technologies, especially Fortinet firewalls (setup, policy configuration, and troubleshooting).
  • Proven background in deployment tasks (racking, stacking, cabling, patching, and general field engineering work).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (diagnose and resolve network connectivity and hardware-related issues).
