Applications Engineer – EBOS Solutions

The Role:

As Applications Engineer – EBOS, you'll be the technical backbone of project deployment across utility-scale and mining solar and energy storage projects. You'll collaborate with the team to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and comply with Australian standards. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your expertise will directly influence project success, product innovation, and regional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical consultation to developers, EPCs, utilities and customers.
  • Design system layouts and bill of materials (BOMs) based on project specs.
  • Support sales teams with technical proposals and solution development.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian electrical codes and standards.
  • Recommend prefabricated, factory-assembled solutions to streamline deployment.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge and support new product integration.
  • Relay customer feedback to product development teams.
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solar or energy storage applications engineering (e.g., knowledge of solar module, inverter and tracker integration).
  • Familiarity with EBOS components and system design.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working with EPCs, developers, and O&M teams.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar design tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with the Australian energy market.
