Overview

Join to apply for the Trading Application Support Engineer - 6 Month Maximum Term Contract role at CMC Markets ANZ.

You'll expand your technical toolkit while working alongside accomplished professionals in a fast-paced, process-driven environment on an initial 6 month maximum term contract. You'll gain experience across multiple operating systems (Windows and Red Hat Linux) and have the opportunity to implement new processes and automated solutions that directly impact clients' trading experience.

What you'll be working on

Using a follow-the-sun support model, you'll ensure maximum availability and performance of the company's trading applications across web, mobile and API channels.

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for the trading platforms
  • System monitoring with real-time tools (Nagios, Splunk, AppDynamics, Geneos, Bespoke tools)
  • Provide proactive and reactive support to application and operational issues across production and non-production environments
  • Proactively fix issues, suggest remedial actions, or route to developers for remediation
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams (Business Operations, 3rd Tier Support, DBA, Security, Infrastructure) to resolve incidents
  • Weekly rotational shifts including some weekend on-call work
What will help you be successful

We're looking for a self-starter with a passion for IT, including 3–5 years of IT support experience, especially with the MS Windows stack (Windows Server OS) and application support. If you have been looking for a Systems Support Engineer, Application Support Specialist or Technical Support Engineer role, we'd love to hear from you.
