Overview

Ventia – NSW Area Manager (Facilities Management)

Location: Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia

Role focus: Operational delivery to manage asset management plans and support network performance for designated portfolio of Network assets within NSW.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage allocated field teams and contractors to deliver scheduled works across Telstra sites in NSW and update systems accordingly.
  • Support the workforce and the Facilities & Network Services Projects team in managing construction activities.
  • Oversee site inspections, contingency planning, operational handovers, and quality assurance.
  • Act as Facility Manager, assess upgrades to improve network integrity and feasibility of options; address defects identified at sites.
  • Investigate, advise, and manage all incidents and restore normal site conditions from plant equipment, network performance, and other facilities equipment, including safety.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and client representatives with regular formal meetings.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience within a Telstra network or in a ticket-of-work environment and using Telstra systems is desired.
  • Trade background or qualification in electrical/mechanical is desirable.
  • Facilities management or building management experience is highly regarded.
  • Effective client relationship management with operational stakeholders and strong communication skills.
