Overview

The Project Manager will join the Program Delivery team to oversee the planning and delivery of civil and road projects. Reporting to the Project Management Coordinator, the role will manage projects in line with Council's project management processes, ensuring governance, contract and procurement compliance. The position will also provide advice and support across the Program Delivery team, contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, and ensure that projects meet safety, budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of civil and road projects as part of the Program Delivery team.
  • Manage projects in line with Council's project management processes, ensuring governance, contract and procurement compliance.
  • Provide advice and support across the Program Delivery team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.
  • Ensure projects meet safety, budget and quality standards.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Experienced project manager with a proven track record in delivering civil and road projects.
  • Strong skills in contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and construction management.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and confidence in negotiating with contractors and consultants.
  • Positive attitude, alignment with Council's values, and ability to contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Qualifications in civil engineering, project management or construction management are desirable.
  • Experience in local government or complex stakeholder environments is desirable.
