Overview

We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Established in 1986, Halidon Primary School (PS) is located in the suburb of Kingsley, approximately 17 kilometres north of Perth. We proudly serve a diverse community and currently cater to around 200 students. The Role

We are looking for passionate, reflective and collaborative educators who are dedicated to student growth and committed to evidence-based practice. Teachers at Halidon PS share collective responsibility for student achievement and progress, and actively support and contribute to whole-school programs and initiatives. They use data to inform teaching, monitor progress and support differentiated learning. They are committed to self-reflection and their own continuous improvement. Teachers establish learning environments based on high expectations and implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies to support student progress academically, emotionally and socially.

Applicants who have experience in implementing play-based learning approaches (ECE), and evidence-based programs such as Talk For Writing, Sounds Write and Word Origins are encouraged to apply; knowledge of these programs is not essential.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
