Track Worker, Infrastructure Maintenance – Blackwater

Overview

Aurizon is seeking a committed and experienced Track Worker to join the Infrastructure Maintenance team in Blackwater. You will work in a small team to carry out infrastructure track maintenance, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work, values teamwork and has a proactive attitude toward safety and improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate, lead and contribute to safety and environmental performance targets by promoting safe behaviour and implementing strategies to minimise injury or loss.
  • Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specified quality and consistency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to the development of new work practices.
  • Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program.
About you
  • Must be an experienced Track Worker with knowledge of track maintenance.
  • Ability to work a 9-day fortnight, Mon–Thu 8.5 hours per day, Fri 8 hours, and Mon–Thu 8.5 hours day.
  • C Class Driver Licence (Mandatory)
  • HR Class Driver Licence or higher
  • Cert III Rail Infrastructure
Residential/Travel

Please note, this is a residential role based out of Blackwater. The successful applicant will be required to travel for training and some work requirements across the CQCN (Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay, Merinda) with the majority of time in Blackwater district.
