Our client is a multi-site, multi-channel, PE-backed group of trusted outdoor, recreational, and lifestyle products with a national footprint. They operate several complementary manufacturing, warehousing, and retail brands and are positioned for further growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. They seek to hire a commercially savvy finance professional with the background, skills, drive, and motivation to support their ambitious growth targets.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, this role will initially spend 6-9 months building "best in class" foundations, including:

  • Leading and transforming the finance and IT functions to support multiple brands, sites, and omni-channel sales;
  • Delivering 100% accurate, timely financial information based on data insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making;
  • Optimising systems, processes, and reporting, and identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency gains;
  • Partnering with sales, operations, inventory, and supply chain teams to improve cash flow, working capital, assess new products, investments, and ROI;
  • Using BI, Excel, and analytics to build performance dashboards, forecast, track KPIs, analyze customer and product performance, and guide strategy;
  • Playing a role in future acquisitions by assessing and integrating new businesses, supporting the CEO and ownership team with investment decisions.

About YOU –

  • You are CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience as Head of Finance or Financial Controller, leading finance functions and building effective teams;
  • Experienced in inventory-driven, multi-channel environments (manufacturing, supply chain, retail, distribution);
  • Strong general ledger discipline and a commitment to accuracy and reporting excellence;
  • Skilled in systems automation, process optimisation, and improvement;
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to interrogate data, model scenarios, and present clear insights;
  • A confident, positive leader who fosters capability, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
