The Opportunity

WE ARE EXPANDING We're on the hunt for a Refrigeration Technician to join our facility in Truganina.

Our team is dedicated to delivering food safety by efficiently resolving issues and thinking outside the box to troubleshoot while maintaining a safe working environment. This role offers the chance to work with a variety of equipment in different applications, allowing you to expand your skillset on state-of-the-art technology. The purpose of the Refrigeration Technician is to ensure the proper functioning of the cooling installations of our storage facilities, while interacting and collaborating with our refrigeration contractors.

Your Mission

• Ensure the cooling systems are up to date, not obsolete and function efficiently and safely
• Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed according to the service schedule
• Undertake inspections and maintenance tasks and provide reporting and ongoing supervision of refrigeration contracts and subcontracts on site
• Consult with Maintenance and Operations Manager on downtime
• Ensure proper completion on various installations
• Accompany and train new Maintenance Technicians
• Create instructions and SOPs
• Use CMMS system to keep records and maintenance schedules
• Support and assist with facility management
• Trade certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Mechanical aptitude with over 3 years of industrial work experience
• Comfortable working in a cold store environment (-23 degrees)
• Computer competency is vital; training on our WMS will be provided
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights
• High motivation and enthusiasm
• Able to work Monday-Friday 7am-3.06pm
