The Role:

We seek a dedicated Service Technician to join our team at our Derrimut branch in Melbourne. This hands-on position involves ensuring timely service completion, providing product support, and maximising revenue. You will play a key role in delivering quality repairs and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

This role may require travel within Victoria and interstate.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Maintain, repair, and service both customer and rental equipment while managing maintenance schedules and records.
  2. Communicate with customers regarding equipment maintenance and repairs, both in-house and on-site.
  3. Provide phone-based troubleshooting assistance to customers.
  4. Coordinate and attend repair work at various job sites.
  5. Offer hands-on assistance and demonstrations for the sales team as needed.
  6. Manage rental equipment check-in/check-out and prepare it for dispatch.
  7. Assist with warehouse operations and coordinate industrial equipment deliveries.
  8. Inspect returned rental equipment and complete job cards.
  9. Perform basic fabrication and repairs as required.
  10. Enter data into our system NetSuite as needed.

About You

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record.
  2. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with hydraulics and pneumatics experience being highly desirable.
  3. Competence in using maintenance and repair tools.
  4. Strong analytical skills and effective troubleshooting ability.
  5. Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  8. Valid Australian driver's license is required.
  9. Forklift license is desirable.
