Overview

The School

Aveley North Primary School (PS) is a large, inclusive public school in the City of Swan, serving approximately 800 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We operate under a One School Model and provide a dedicated Education Support program supporting 52 students with a range of disabilities and learning needs. The Role

There may be multiple teaching opportunities across year levels K–6, including curriculum areas such as Music and Physical Education. The role offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant school community and to support the development of engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experiences for our students.

As a Primary Teacher, you would support and include collaboration with education assistants and support staff, maintain high expectations, and commit to continual improvement. You would actively use explicit instruction, structured lesson frameworks, and formative assessment to drive progress and adjust teaching strategies. Upholding consistent, school-wide behaviour expectations with a positive, proactive approach and engaging with whole-school instructional coaching is encouraged.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration;
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment;
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start;
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
