We are looking for a Library Branch Supervisor to lead our vibrant City Library. Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced library professional to lead the team at our vibrant City Library located in the heart of Shellharbour.
This exciting role will support our dynamic and innovative staff in providing a welcoming library experience and promote all that our libraries have to offer. You will manage the daily operations of City Library and work collaboratively within the Libraries & Museum team to deliver inspiring programs and leading-edge libraries for our community and customers.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage daily operations of City Library and supervise staff.
- Collaborate with the Libraries & Museum team to deliver programs and services.
- Support staff in providing a welcoming library experience and promote library offerings.
- A Library Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in library and information services.
- Customer-centric experience with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in written and verbal form, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences.
- Experience in the delivery of library services.
- Advanced digital literacy across devices, platforms, apps and software; able to guide customers in navigating technology.
- Team Leadership experience supervising, mentoring and developing staff.

What we offer- Permanent full time 35 hours per week with access to flexitime
- 7-day roster including evening and weekend shifts
- Commencing salary range from $70,725 - $73,583 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
