Senior Maintenance Engineer – Oil & Gas Project | Perth-based

The Role

As Senior Maintenance Engineer, you'll deliver maintenance, reliability, and CMMS engineering services to ensure operational readiness and asset optimisation. This position requires both deep technical knowledge and leadership capability, supporting project teams and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and optimising maintenance strategies in line with regulations, standards, and client requirements.

  • Preparing and maintaining maintenance and materials master data.

  • Identifying critical spares, managing SPIRs, and optimising stock levels for reliability.

  • Performing equipment criticality analysis and updating maintenance work instructions.

  • Providing technical support, peer reviews, and mentoring within the project team.

  • Leading improvement initiatives to address recurring issues and enhance asset reliability.

  • Reviewing specifications and drawings, recommending modifications to improve performance.

  • Managing CTRs, schedules, and budgets for assigned work.

About You

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred).

  • Minimum 9 years' experience in maintenance engineering within oil & gas or similar heavy industry.

  • Strong background in maintenance strategy, operations readiness, and reliability engineering.

  • Advanced skills in SAP, FMECA, RCA, and RCM.

  • Knowledge of CMMS, master data management, and process safety standards.

  • Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.

  • Location: Perth (with hybrid flexibility).

  • Contract: 12 months+

  • Start: Could be Immediate.
