As a

Your Impact

As a Flavour Technologist based at our Tullamarine, Victoria site you'll drive flavour development and optimisation across Asahi's beverage portfolio. Sitting within the Liquid Development Team, your work will directly enhance product taste, cost efficiency, and in-house flavour manufacturing capabilities, contributing to both innovation and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate new and optimise existing flavours, colours, and extracts for production, focussing on cost, performance, and consumer taste preference
  • Lead flavour matching and substitution projects to improve supply chain resilience and reduce flavour spend
  • Apply analytical tools to assess flavour composition and validate shelf-life.
  • Validate developed flavours in application to ensure taste in final beverage and ensure taste delivery across the product shelf-life.
  • Manage technical data and ERP systems to ensure compliance to internal quality standards and regulations.
  • Champion safety, quality, and environmental standards in both lab and production environments

About You

You have a strong technical foundation in flavour development and a passion for creating products consumers love. You're commercially minded, hands-on, and confident managing projects from concept to implementation.

You'll Also Bring
  • Appropriate qualifications in Food Science, Chemistry, Formulation Science, or a related field within the food industry.
  • Experience in flavour formulation and production, with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance
  • Ingredient expertise and an understanding of how raw materials impact product performance
  • A practical, analytical mindset with experience in scientific testing and sensory evaluation
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed working style
