We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Compliance Auditor servicing the NSW Region, who is passionate about contributing to the success of our business. You'll ensure a high standard in consistency and accuracy with onsite fire safety assessments and ensuring timely delivery of annual certification and AFSS reports.

What will you do?

  • Assist Compliance Manager and Service Manager to manage the annual compliance process end to end.
  • Complete onsite fire safety assessments as per Australian Standards and local requirements
  • Provide detailed reports identifying the status of each fire safety measure
  • Ensure high standard in consistency and accuracy of annual reporting
  • Drive the current checklist process to ensure timely delivery of annual certification including the endorsement of assessed measures on the AFSS
  • Utilise system apps to create fire safety assessment reports
  • Preparing accurate and timely onsite service sheets and reports
  • Ability to work safely to company policies and procedures
  • Being reliable, diligent, trustworthy, honest and always punctual; and
  • Communicate professionally with customers and other employees.

  • Fire seals protecting openings in fire-resisting components

  • Hydrant Systems (Level 1 & 2)
  • Perimeter vehicle access for emergency vehicles
  • Portable fire extinguishers
  • Safety curtains in proscenium openings
  • Smoke alarms & heat alarms
  • Smoke detectors & heat detectors
  • Smoke doors
  • Solid core doors
  • Standby power systems
  • Wall-wetting sprinkler & drencher systems
  • Warning & operational signs
  • Fire alarm monitoring
  • Emergency Lifts

  • Mechanical air handling system (e.g. pressurisation systems)
  • Smoke and heat vents
  • Smoke Dampers
    • Ability to carry out and/or witness Annual Full Function Testing
    • Desirable – 5 years of previous experience in Safety assessments
    • Top notch communication skills – both written and verbal
