An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Manager within our Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) Program team. Embedded within the Operations Team as part of a wider Enterprise - your mission will be to manage Complex Tasks to enhance the capabilities of Defence's F/A-18 Super Hornet and EA-18 Growler Fleet in support of achieving Defence's capability outcomes.

The role of the Complex Task Manager is to work within a team and help the customer understand complex problems that arise within the sustainment program and how best to move forward to a successful outcome. The role relies heavily on strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships across a vast Enterprise of various Defence Contractors working together to support capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and management of all assigned tasks within the Operations Team.
• Embodied in this role is the responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all task goals are achieved, all customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving customer/client satisfaction.
• Responsible for planning, control and reporting of tasks.
• Coordination of task deliverables as per requirements.
• Provide key communication and stakeholder engagement and management for assigned tasks.
  
  

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• A Tertiary or Trade Qualification relevant to aircraft maintenance
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Defence Aviation maintenance environment
• Tertiary Qualification in Project Management or equivalent
• Proven understanding of the defence environment - with a minimum of 2 years' in Project Management and / or Engineering/Maintenance on Defence sustainment support projects
• Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance
• Ability to meet the requirements of Raytheon Certified PM Ready or Leading at Level 5 in Acquisition and Sustainment
• Understanding of financial cost control utilising earned value principles
