The Role

Snooze, in the Mile End HomeCo centre, is seeking an astute, reliable Warehouse team member to drive the logistics function of the retail store.

The key aspects of the role are:

  • Manual handling of mattresses and furniture. Goods receipt and loading for delivery to customers.
  • Movements of stock within the store warehouses, utilisation of store forklift and delivery vehicles (under car license).
  • Regular communication to retail team members, customers and suppliers relating to stock and deliveries.
  • Assist with deliveries and installation of products to customer residences.

This role will commence on a casual basis (Monday to Friday), daytime hours with approx. 30-38 hours per week. Progression to a Full Time role is available for the right applicant.

The role provides great exposure to the front end of a professional retail business selling quality products; accordingly a background or interest within retail is highly regarded.

At Snooze, we are committed to training. With a great attitude and willingness to learn, Snooze has the support network to train team members and provides all the necessary skills to operate the retail and logistics of the store.

Qualifications
  • Great attention to detail to ensure product QA and efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Good fitness level for manual handling/heavy lifting of bulky goods.
  • Communicates well with team members, customers and suppliers in a positive manner.
  • Sound IT skills to manage live stock. Pronto system experience is desirable.
  • A valid manual car licence; Order Picker (LO) license is ideal.
  • Retail sales/customer service experience is advantageous.
