Senior Workday Financials Consultant

Senior Workday Financials Consultant at Strada. This role involves hands-on system design and implementation for Workday Financials, including generating client briefs and collaborating with stakeholders to transform briefs into industry-leading HCM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and configuration of customer Financial solutions.
• Own the customer design spreadsheet/workbook.
• Collaborate with Practice/Functional Areas/Lead Consultant to ensure the solution is complete end-to-end with downstream impact considerations.
• Participate in Functional/Integrations/Data cross-team meetings.
• Document issues, decisions, and action items from Initiation and Architect sessions.
• Unit testing of configuration while building and smoke testing prior to handoff to the client.
• Support the customer as initial responder to questions/issues during the project lifecycle (e.g., Customer Unit Testing, End-to-End Testing, UAT, Parallel Testing, Deployment, Post Go Live).

Key Criteria

• Training and/or certifications in Workday Financials solutions.
• Experience in the implementation and delivery of cloud solutions, preferably Workday.
• Experience in requirements gathering and transforming into a client solution.
• Experience communicating with clients in person, in workshops and design sessions, developing strategic improvements to financial solutions.
• Strong presentation skills, preferably delivering product demos and running design sessions.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience implementing an ERP system focusing on a financials solution.
• Deep financial experience with a demonstrated aptitude for systems implementation.
• Previous consulting experience is required (internal or with a consulting/software organization).
• Knowledge and experience translating business requirements into system requirements.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information into clear, concise messages.
• Experience in addressing difficult conversations proactively; strong soft skills to facilitate resolution and win-win outcomes.
• Proven consultative skills to guide client and internal discussions to agreement of solutions in a timely manner.
• Highly self-motivated and flexible in a change-driven environment.
• Anticipates future needs and helps determine the ideal solution for issues and processes.
• A passion for collaboration and willingness to think outside the box to develop processes and tools for cloud platform enablement.
• Exhibits problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting issues and escalation when appropriate.
• Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, ADP, or similar financials systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Workday FDM/Financial certification preferred; candidates not certified will be considered but must pass required certifications and ongoing recertification as per platform requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
