The Position

Join our diverse team as a Care Services Worker and embrace an exciting opportunity working at The Laurels Retirement Village. This casual position plays a pivotal role, prioritising the well-being of our residents above all else.

We are seeking a motivated person to make a positive impact and become part of our close-knit team, as well as embrace the chance to be a source of support and comfort for our residents.

Casual position working mainly across 7am to 4pm - Monday to Friday

Will suit candidates living in Mount Barker or the surrounding areas

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Regional Care Manager, you will be responsible for:
    • Supporting and assisting Home Care recipients with activities of daily living, including mobility, continence management, showering, dressing, personal grooming, medication prompting
    • Where required, assisting with meal preparation
    • Provision of domestic and laundry services to care recipients
    • Transporting care recipients to appointments (e.g. medical)
    • Social Support and Shopping assistance
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Full Drivers Licence, Comprehensive Insurance and Reliable Transport
  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, including Drug and Alcohol Testing
