The float legal assistant provides administrative support to a team of partners, lawyers and professional staff, across all practice groups nationally. The role is based on site as part of the national float team, working both in person and remotely.
Responsibilities- File maintenance - electronic and paper (iManage/Work10)
- Dictation
- Preparation of correspondence and legal documents
- Diary management
- Billing (Aderant)
- Editing documents
- Opening and closing client files
- Client contact
- Photocopying
- Archiving
- Coverage of Legal Assistants' planned and unplanned leave
- Reception cover and break relief support
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a team-based, client-first approach. You will have excellent typing skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office and have excellent attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a busy practice with proven capability in managing multiple and changing priorities.
Ideally, you will have legal support experience, or at least some exposure to a legal practice environment, with a broad interest in various legal practice areas. You will be versatile, genuinely adaptable to frequent change, comfortable working across the differing practice groups and skilled at building rapport quickly.
