School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Central Coast Local Government Area

In this Role, you'll

Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists. You'll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.

This is a casual position which will provide relief at sites in Central Coast Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between the school zone hours 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term.

You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.

  • You\'re a community minded person who would like to contribute.
  • You'd get a kick out of making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy.
  • You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather.
  • You'll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. You will be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will speed up the process.

Recruitment Timeline

To ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process, here is an overview of the timeline:

  • Applications are reviewed and shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the week commencing 18 September 2025 for a quick 5–10 minute phone interview, followed by panel interviews.
  • If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks.
  • Applications close 11:59 PM on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
  • Applicants who pass the interview may be considered for permanent part-time positions if a vacancy arises.
  • A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part-time positions over the next 18-month period. If suitable at interview and a vacancy arises, you may be contacted to complete pre-employment checks.
