About The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced development assessment professional with strong connections within our sector to lead a team focusing on innovation, collaboration, strengthening industry relationships and delivering exemplary service to our community.
As Coordinator Development Services, you will lead a high-performing team delivering planning, building and development compliance to our diverse community, supporting team growth and prioritising our customers by placing them at the heart of everything we do. As Coordinator, you will create opportunities to shape the future of our City, combining this with a focus on maintaining a strong team culture.
About You:
- You bring expertise in forming relationships, investing in and developing people, clarity of direction and strong communication skills which complements your: tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or equivalent) or Bachelor of Construction Management (Building Surveying) or graduate Diploma in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in statutory and strategic planning and building functions.
- Knowledge of the National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia) and its application
- Passion for leading, mentoring and inspiring a team to deliver service excellence.
- High-level technical skills in development assessment and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a complex environment.

The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and is classified at Band 1, with a starting salary of $161,665.50 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading. For this role, CCS may offer additional remuneration where specific market, project, or capability criteria are met.
