Job Summary

Guided by nursing principles, utilizing evidence-based judgment, provides and coordinates nursing care to restore health for patients, families, and communities.

Minimum Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Applicants with an Associate's degree are considered but must obtain BSN within three years
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN)
  • Current Ohio RN license
Experience and Training
  • PRN RNs require at least one year recent experience in the practice area
  • One year RN experience required for weekend positions
  • Additional experience or preparation may be needed for specialty units
Skills and Competencies
  • Full body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
  • Extended standing and walking
  • Normal vision and hearing (corrected)
  • Ability to work under stress and irregular hours
  • Exposure to hazards like communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, radiation
  • Current BLS; ACLS required within six months for critical care areas
Population Specific Competency
  • Additional certifications may be required for certain specialties (e.g., PALS, NIHSS)
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations
Physical Demands
  • Heavy exertion: lifting 50-100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, 10-20 pounds continuously
Additional Information

Salary range: $33.00/hr - $52.00/hr, exclusive of bonuses/differentials. Factors like experience and location influence pay. The listed range is the full base salary range.
