Are you a dynamic, results-driven professional with a passion for business growth? We're on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving the company's success across multiple sectors, including steel fabrication, energy, and resources. You'll have the opportunity to travel across Australia, cultivating relationships and expanding the business beyond Perth.

This role isn't just about working locally - it's about taking the business national and finding innovative ways to grow their presence in the Australian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Market Research:
    Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to meet company goals. Conduct research to identify new trends and opportunities in the market.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
    Identify potential clients and partners in key sectors, build lasting relationships, and maintain strong connections with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Revenue Growth & Sales Management:
    Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals. Focus on sectors such as steel fabrication, energy, and resources, ensuring pricing is competitive and profitable. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    Work closely with internal teams, including Operations and Marketing, to align business development strategies with overall company objectives. Contribute to marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and brand positioning.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Monitor sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to adjust strategies. Prepare and present detailed reports on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Product & Service Development:
    Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and improve existing products. Contribute to the development of new solutions, including stainless steel products and cable restoration services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, with a focus on the energy, resources, or fabrication industries.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with CRM software and other business tools.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
