We\'re Hiring: Job Trainer – Gardening (Disability Support Worker – Weeds N Seeds)
Employment Type: Part time – Approximately 60 hours per fortnight.
Location: Launceston
Hours: Hours worked across Monday to Friday
Note: May need the use of own vehicle (not for participant transport) from time to time.
This is a level 2 role under the Oak Tasmania EA
Role OverviewAs a Job Trainer – Gardening Support Worker, you'll provide support to our participants, helping them develop the skills and confidence in our Weeds n Seeds programme. You'll work closely with new and existing participants to guide in their roles and keep on task.
What You'll Need- A genuine passion for training and mentoring others
- Gardening experience required, and knowledge of how to use gardening equipment such as mowers and brush cutters
- Have (or be able to obtain) a White Card - Required before commencement of role
- Some use of your own vehicle (not for participant transport)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate must have (or be willing to obtain):
- National Police Check
- Working with Vulnerable People Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid/CPR certificates
- Make a meaningful impact in the disability support sector
- Be part of a supportive and values-driven team
