Discovery at Play Learning Centre is an early learning facility catering for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. You will be the nominated supervisor for our BRAND NEW SERVICE located in Shoalwater, with a capacity of 100 children.

You will be supported by a very supportive Approved Provider, Area Manager, and Head Office team.

We prefer you to have exceptional operational experience and be an advocate for the highest quality care and education for our children, while supporting families and the local community. We would love to support you if you feel you have the passion and skills to grow.

Relevant qualifications and certificates required include: Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor qualifications, Working with Children Checks, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications, Police Checks, and a minimum of 1 year Centre Director experience.

• Managing our centre in line with company policies, procedures, and targets
• Developing a positive and engaging community presence
• Providing leadership, support, and guidance to staff and students as needed
• Developing a positive, cohesive work environment for all staff
• Inducting and supporting new team members
• Implementing initiatives to increase occupancy rates
• Ensuring the centre complies with all policies, state legislation, and national quality standards
• Maintaining health and safety standards in line with company standards

• A minimum of 1 year experience as a Centre Manager
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or a Diploma in Children's Services
• A current Working with Children's Check and valid First Aid, Child Protection, Proda RA number
• Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) and the rating and assessment process
• Strong experience creating and maintaining a Centre Quality Improvement Program
• Extensive experience within the early childhood sector
• Team player
• Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
