As our Learning, Development & Retention Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping careers, enhancing engagement, and driving retention across the business. From building structured learning pathways to supporting managers in developing and retaining top talent, this role is all about empowering people to succeed.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop & Execute L&D and Retention Strategies – Identify capability development priorities, employee engagement drivers, and create learning plans that support long-term retention and career growth.
  • Lead the L&D Academy – Establish structured career pathways, training programs, and development opportunities to ensure employees see a future with us.
  • Enhance Employee Retention & Engagement – Strengthen onboarding, offboarding, and career development initiatives to improve employee experience and reduce turnover.
  • Support Managers in Retention & Development – Equip leaders with the tools and training to develop, engage, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Design & Deliver Engaging Learning Experiences – Create innovative programs blending workshops, e-learning, simulations, and on-the-job learning in-person, virtually, or in hybrid formats.
  • End-to-End Learning & Retention Project Management – Oversee programs from needs analysis and storyboarding to content creation and post-training evaluation.
  • Leverage Digital Learning & Capability Frameworks – Implement best-in-class digital solutions and align learning programs with leadership and technical skill frameworks.
  • Measure & Improve Learning Effectiveness – Analyse employee learning and engagement data, assess training impact, and recommend continuous improvements using best practices and future trends.
  • Manage Learning Systems & Compliance – Utilise the Learning Management System (LMS) to track participation, ensure compliance, and generate meaningful insights to inform retention strategies.

What We're Looking For:

  • A seasoned L&D professional with experience in training, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Expertise in leadership and technical training, spanning both site-based and corporate teams.
  • A strategic thinker with experience in growth planning, mentoring, and succession programs.
  • A passion for employee experience, engagement, and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach and support managers.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and engagement analytics.
