About the RoleColes is seeking a Corporate Development Partner to join our Corporate Development Team. In this role, you\'ll work with our lines of business to identify, assess, and execute key corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, investments, and other strategic opportunities. You collaborate closely with the team and relevant internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of potential corporate transactions.
Responsibilities- Developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and monitoring potential corporate development opportunities for Coles Group.
- Assisting with the financial and strategic assessment of potential corporate development opportunities.
- Preparing insightful, high-quality analysis and conclusions based on financial and commercial data to support recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Providing support during the execution of transactions and other key projects, working alongside senior internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with other departments and divisions within Coles Group.

Commercial Skills & Formal Qualifications- Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Business degree
- Financial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of corporate finance concepts and financial modelling
- Ability to work independently and with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance / advisory, transaction services or equivalent
- Experience conducting market research and analysis
- Experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify and assess business opportunities, both organic and inorganic
- Experience in preparing high quality presentations, papers and reports to support key strategic decisions and recommendations
