We are seeking a Speech Pathologist / Occupational Therapist to join Autism Association of Western Australia, delivering school-age therapy services.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with your colleagues in a large multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality therapy services to individuals with autism and their families.
- Provide consultation and education to families and key stakeholders to enable inclusion and participation at home, school and in the community.
- Implement specialist programs supporting social communication, mealtimes, Positive Behaviour Support Programs and more, including group therapy curriculums, parent coaching workshops, and other evidence-based programs.
- Be based from a therapy hub and travel within your local area to deliver services at homes, schools and community settings.
- Lead specialist therapy groups across a range of ages and skill areas.
- Depending on your area of expertise, complete specialist assessments for augmentative and alternative communication or functional capacity.
About You
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and a passion to dream big for people with autism to live their best lives.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy
- Membership or registration with the appropriate professional body
- Experience working with children and/or adults with disability and their families is desirable
