Join to apply for the Analyst role at ASIC. The role is permanent and located in Sydney or Melbourne (other locations considered).
The Licensing team is ASIC's front-line gatekeeper for regulated participants. The team assesses applications for financial services or consumer credit licences, or registrations to provide company audit and SMSF audit services to Australian consumers and businesses.
The roleAs an Analyst you will utilise your experience and strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and legislation, resolve issues, and make decisions.
You Will Be Responsible For- Assessing basic to moderately complex Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence applications.
- Dealing with enquiries relating to assessment and decision making.
- Communicating effectively with applicants and preparing documentation on issues identified during the assessment process.
- Providing recommendations and preparing documentation for refusal of licence applications.
- Liaising and negotiating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Role available at ASIC3 or ASIC4 classification. Indicate the classification you wish to apply for.
- ASIC3 – from $78,720 + 15.4% superannuation: minimum 2-3 years\' relevant experience.
- ASIC4 – from $94,198 + 15.4% superannuation: minimum 4-5 years\' relevant experience.
With demonstrated experience in researching, analysing and interpreting complex information and legislation, you will have technical expertise to resolve complex customer queries and achieve impactful outcomes. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, time management, and attention to detail are essential. Experience in the financial services space is preferred.
You Will Also Demonstrate- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences, with strong editing skills and the ability to distill key messages.
- Confidence engaging with others, including participating in difficult and challenging discussions.
