Overview

Sunshine Coast Legal Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a university student to join our Sunshine Coast team as a Legal Assistant on a part-time basis, gaining valuable experience while completing your studies.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in supporting our legal team by providing comprehensive administrative assistance across a wide range of matters. Your exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail are crucial, as the team will depend on you to ensure that the processes run smoothly and effectively for our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • File opening and diary management;
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents;
  • Preparing tribunal and court documentation;
  • Monitoring critical dates to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Provide general support to lawyers and other team members as needed;
  • Answering phone calls and assisting clients with any questions they have;
  • Closing and Archiving;
  • Assisting with end of month invoicing process.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a university student looking to get their foot in the door of the legal profession. Gain valuable experience, hands-on exposure and mentoring from a knowledgeable and supportive team. This role will give you broad insight into legal processes and help you develop the foundational skills needed to grow into a future paralegal or legal professional.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. You are comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities all at once;
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
