Senior Network Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer who has a strong hands-on technical experience in F5 Load Balancer, IDS/IPS, Cisco ISE and Cisco Wireless. The aim of this role is to support the IT operational activities of Project Infrastructure, supporting the Operation Manager to achieve the agreed SLAs as defined by the respective Master Service Agreement(s).

• Support all Cisco Network devices and Checkpoint & Fortigate Firewalls, routers and switches/F5/Foundary/Radware load balancers, DNS, SDN, IPAM, Wireless,Tacacs and VPN
• Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
• Perform regular monitoring and maintenance of the network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Comply to ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operation e.g. Change, Incident, Service Request & problem management.
• Respond promptly to Network incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated
• Collaborate with network administrators and engineers to design and implement network upgrades, expansions, and changes, ensuring minimal disruption to network services.
• Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network equipment procurement, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Keep up to date with emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement network enhancements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams regarding network-related issues, troubleshooting steps, and preventive measures.
• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability.
• Support service continuity measures i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan.

Skills for Success:

• A Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Network Engineer with strong hands-on troubleshooting experience in F5 Load Balancer, IDS/IPS, Cisco ISE and Cisco Wireless is a mandatory requirement for this role
• Knowledge and expertise in LAN/WAN and Firewall are a strong advantage
• Strong technical competency with recognized professional certifications in either Network & Security or Systems domain
• Able to be on standby 24x7 and 12-hour shift rotation
