Overview

Brand Manager / Marketing Specialist (Beauty Area) role at Let\'s Maestro. This is a short-term contract based in Melbourne for a contractor who has prior contracting experience; Melbourne-based candidates only.

This role supports the development and delivery of growth-driving marketing strategies and retail media plans across the beauty category. The focus is on creating marketing campaigns that drive full-funnel shopper engagement, grow category share, and maximise both retail sales and media revenue. You will report to the Marketing Manager and collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, brand, sales, and media teams, as well as work directly with brand partners to unlock growth through targeted, insight-led marketing activity.

Role Description

We're seeking a Brand Manager / Marketing Specialist (Beauty Area) to support the development and delivery of growth-driving marketing strategies and retail media plans across the beauty category. This role is responsible for creating marketing campaigns that drive full-funnel shopper engagement, grow category share, and maximise both retail sales and media revenue.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, brand, sales, and media teams, and work directly with brand partners to unlock growth through targeted, insight-led marketing activity. You must bring a combination of brand management experience, media buying knowledge, campaign planning skills, and strong commercial acumen.

What you will be responsible for
  • Build and manage high-impact brand partnerships for a portfolio of premium and emerging beauty brands, balancing storytelling with commercial outcomes
  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across in-store, digital, paid media, social, and experiential
  • Activate campaigns through the marketing ecosystem, partnering with internal teams to deliver data-led, omni-channel programs that drive conversion and brand equity
  • Leverage growing retail media capabilities; including first-party data, media inventory, and in-store touch-points; to enhance campaign performance
  • Support the development of new retail media opportunities, aligning with the global shift in department store marketing teams becoming performance-driven media partners
  • Collaborate and support the Marketing Manager to deliver broader category and enterprise-level marketing priorities
Industry Experience Required
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic, executional marketing role, ideally in beauty, retail, or an agency
  • Proven ability to deliver multi-channel campaigns in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • A deep understanding of the beauty consumer mindset, trends, and content formats that drive engagement
  • Commercial acumen and a natural ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working across internal and external teams
Must Have

You must bring a combination of brand management experience, media buying knowledge, campaign planning skills and strong commercial acumen.
