As the Engagement Strategy Specialist in Alumni Relations, you'll spearhead innovative programs to reimagine and strengthen connections between the University and its alumni. You'll have the opportunity to craft audience-centric, data-driven engagement strategies, re-energise existing initiatives, and create mutual benefits for alumni and the institution. Your role will be pivotal in bringing the Alumni Relations Plan to life, collaborating across departments to drive meaningful engagement and support the University's strategic goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design Innovative Engagement Programs: Create large-scale, creative initiatives that serve as entry points and ongoing engagement opportunities for alumni, enhancing the alumni experience.
• Develop Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to implement engagement programs, seamlessly integrating digital and face-to-face elements.
• Drive Data-Driven Strategies: Leverage alumni behaviour and interests to inform program design and evaluate engagement activities.
• Enhance Digital Engagement: Identify and implement cutting-edge opportunities to optimise initiatives with digital elements, increasing reach and impact.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a creative and strategic thinker with experience in external relations, possessing strong project management skills with the ability to analyse data to drive audience-centric engagement initiatives in a complex organisational environment.

You may also:

• Possess a strong understanding of best practices in alumni relations and a passion for reimagining experiences.
• Demonstrate experience in developing and implementing engaging external relations programs.
• Excel in stakeholder management and collaborative problem-solving across large organisations.
• Have proficiency in data analysis and engagement metrics to inform program design and evaluation.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and attention to detail in written and verbal interactions.

Advancement works with colleagues across the University and its affiliates to facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between the University and its alumni, friends and benefactors. Communications and Marketing formulates and leads strategies in support of the University of Melbourne's overarching strategic plan, Advancing Melbourne.
