Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA) is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. The Senior Director, Human Resources will report to the SVP, Human Resources and partner closely with Vera's Commercial team leadership to advise on HR trends/initiatives, working toward organizational business objectives. This role will also manage a Human Resources Manager with a focus on employee relations.

• Advise senior Commercial leaders in solving complex issues related to organization design, development, and change leadership.
• Proactively defines, builds and implements value-added HR strategies and solutions.
• Establish strategies and tactics to attract, develop, and motivate high-quality talent at all levels to support growth objectives and business strategies.
• Build deep partnerships with all HR functions to provide HR solutions to key business needs.
• Leverage data and people analytics to provide insights into business and talent trends that inform Commercial and HR priorities.
• Participate and lead corporate-wide programs that enhance the employee experience and support growth and overall business strategy.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues as needed.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a fit-for-purpose TA strategy focusing on diverse and critical talent.
• May design, plan, and implement HR projects and programs, including performance and development, talent management, employee engagement surveys, and HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure legal compliance (state, country, and regional) by monitoring updates, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing and implementing HR strategies with Commercial clients in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
• Expert-level experience developing strategic workforce plans from conception to implementation.
• A history of success supporting client groups in a consultative role.
• Knowledge of organizational development, process management, and change management.
• Track record of advocating for the business unit and exemplifying HR best practices.
• Experience mentoring HR talent and conducting thorough investigations with management recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to educate and influence.
• Experience in talent management, succession planning, and career development; strong in culture and change initiatives.
• Responsive to the needs of senior management, colleagues, and staff; understanding of employment laws and HR program administration.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships across diverse backgrounds and manage multiple complex tasks.
• Experience with Sales Incentive program design and delivery is a plus.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $250,000 - $280,000 USD.
