What You Will Get To Do

This is an integral role within the company's processing team with a focus on investor onboarding into our client funds. You will thoroughly review and determine whether investors meet AML/KYC, CRS/FATCA, and/or DDO requirements for Asset Manager or Custodian clients. You'll identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks by conducting Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) and Transaction Monitoring (TM), supporting investigations and driving continuous improvement within the AML/CTF framework.

Role Responsibilities

Due Diligence

• Monitor and investigate customers' accounts following AML/KYC, CRS/FA TCA and DDO standards
• Conduct AML/KYC reviews by gathering information from public sources, source tools, and customers
• Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and sanction screening reviews
• Monitor customer transactions and identify suspicious behavior
• Prepare and report Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs)
• Identify reportable accounts by determining the tax residency of account holders
• Apply due diligence procedures as outlined in FATCA and CRS rules
• Maintain documentation and evidence supporting due diligence outcomes

Deliverables

• Escalate issues/risks within specified SLAs
• Serve as first point of contact for queries regarding account setup applications from team and internal stakeholders
• Provide SME support to onshore and offshore teams for account setup queries
• Review and prepare KYC documents for Low/Medium/High-risk customers
• Manage own work allocation and meet productivity targets
• Maintain accurate updates in metric trackers and workflow systems
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology teams
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Accountabilities

• Manage and complete deliverables per client SLAs
• Assist with AML/KYC and CRS/FATCA process enhancements and ad-hoc projects
• Assist with periodic reviews of procedures and checklists to ensure accuracy

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC rules and AUSTRAC guidelines
• Experience with funds, trusts, and corporate structures
• Excellent attention to detail and compliance focus
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to meet targets in a fast-paced environment
• Experience conducting peer quality reviews and giving/receiving feedback
• Curious mindset with a willingness to investigate and propose solutions

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years in AML/KYC operational due diligence or compliance, preferably in financial services or fund services
• 3+ years' experience onboarding investors in CRS/FATCA and DDO within unit registry/transfer agency
• Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills, with stakeholder influence experience
• Collaborative and proactive approach
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; AML/compliance certifications are a plus
