Role Summary:

We are seeking technically proficient Audit, Compliance, or Risk Assurance professionals with experience in Financial Markets and Treasury functions. Several promising opportunities have arisen to oversee BAU activities as well as Regulatory Reporting and Project-related risks within Institutional Banking. These roles will be integral to the 2LoD Operational Risk & Compliance function.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver scheduled and ad hoc assurance activities for the Institutional Bank's Finance & Treasury Control function, ensuring alignment with Group Risk & Compliance strategy.
  • Conduct independent reviews on the effectiveness of key business controls as part of the 2nd Line of Defense.
  • Implement governance and risk policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Document findings, provide assurance opinions, and collaborate with the business to challenge and improve controls.
  • Perform deep dives into Business, Project, Tender, and Investment risk profiles.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Ops Risk, Compliance, and Group Audit.

Skill Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on risk assurance experience in Financial Markets, Treasury, or Institutional Banking, either in Australia or internationally.
  • Strong knowledge of Global Markets and Treasury Control workflows.
  • Experience in designing and executing testing plans, review scopes, and reports.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational risk frameworks for large organizations from a holistic perspective.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong initiative to deliver results.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting for MiFID, CFTC, GDR, EFSet, etc., and/or critical review is highly desirable.
