We're Podfire – one of Australia's fastest-growing podcast production houses – and we're on the hunt for a Head of Sales to take our sponsor partnerships to the next level.

If you know how to pitch like a pro, close like a champion, and you thrive on turning conversations into lasting commercial relationships, this could be your dream gig.

We're looking for someone who understands both brands and audio, and can confidently navigate the world of podcast advertising and sponsorship. From sourcing and booking potential sponsors, to locking in deals and developing long-term relationships, you'll be the commercial force behind some of Australia's most exciting podcast content.

What You'll Do:

  1. Lead the sales function at Podfire with a strong focus on podcast sponsorship and advertising.
  2. Identify, approach and build relationships with brands that align with our growing slate of podcasts.
  3. Proactively source, book, and manage interviews with potential sponsors.
  4. Craft custom proposals, packages, and campaigns tailored to each client's goals.
  5. Close deals and hit sales targets while maintaining strong client service and retention.
  6. Collaborate with our producers, creators, and marketing team to deliver successful campaigns.
  7. Maintain a strong pipeline using CRM tools and provide accurate forecasting.
  8. Stay across trends in audio and podcast marketing to spot new opportunities.

What You'll Need:

  1. Proven experience in media, podcast, radio, or digital advertising sales (3+ years).
  2. A track record of sourcing leads and closing sponsorship or ad sales.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  4. An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work autonomously and drive results.
  5. Experience pitching creative concepts to brands and agencies.
  6. A love of podcasts and a passion for innovative media solutions.
  7. Knowledge of the podcast industry, audio metrics, and ad formats is a strong advantage.
