Altus Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5-10 years' experience to join our Development Advisory division in Sydney.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be passionate about helping clients manage construction costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout project stages.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct detailed and accurate cost analyses, estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies for construction projects.
  2. Be technically proficient in all aspects of pre and post contract QS services.
  3. Manage client relationships and expectations.
  4. Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, including junior staff.
  5. Take responsibility for a portfolio of projects across different sectors.
  6. Seek career development and progression opportunities for high-performing employees.
Job Requirements:
  • Expertise and accreditation in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Membership in an approved Professional Body (e.g., AIQS, RICS, CIOB) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the local construction industry including development, contracting, and consulting sectors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in client file management, planning, and organization.
