Learning Support Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Officer to contribute to our school's positive culture and support the educational journey of our students.

Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School is a vibrant community that values diversity, inclusivity, and academic excellence. The successful applicant will work closely with classroom teachers, the Learning Diversity Leader, and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with additional needs. They will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized learning plans, tracking student progress, and contributing to a collaborative education environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of disability support, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment. A Certificate III (or higher qualification) in Education Support and a current Working With Children's Check are essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with classroom teachers, Learning Diversity Leader, and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Attend designated staff meetings, professional development, and other relevant duties requested by the Principal.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist students with additional needs through intervention and support strategies.
  • Track student progress using spreadsheets for formal NCCD requirements.

Working Hours:

8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
