GenesisCare is seeking a passionate Clinical Research Coordinator to join our NSW team based at our oncology clinic in the North Shore Health Hub, located in St Leonards, with travel to other clinics as required. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver clinical research activities through direct and indirect care and data collection for clinical trials, in close collaboration with Principal Investigators, Co-investigators and the GenesisCare Research Team.
  • Ensure timely start-up and smooth running, documentation, and monitoring of allocated trials on site with support from Research Leads, the start-up team and your clinical lead.
  • Work with the team lead and local research team to meet recruitment targets and timelines.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including your team, research leads, PI, centre staff and sponsors.
  • Attend trial assessments and treatments with patients within your competency; perform clinical tasks (vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture, medication management) and maintain data-entry proficiency in a timely manner.
  • Process samples, coordinate sample collection and dispatch as required.
  • Prepare for and host monitoring and close-out visits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, administrative and clinical frameworks relevant to research; ensure compliance with SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete mandatory and trial-specific training as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Current AHPRA registration with relevant nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research coordination (nursing, science or Phase 1 research, Oncology or nuclear medicine) with an equivalent undergraduate degree.
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High initiative, flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
