THE ROLE

Working within a range of industrial sectors, the successful candidate will be expected to manage a range of existing client accounts with an emphasis on finding opportunities for cross and upselling.

You will be selling our client's range of fluid system components (fittings, valves, regulators, hoses, tubing, filters, cylinders, instrumentation, and measurement devices, etc.). Selling into end-user customers such as mining companies, oil & gas, water corporations, and pulp & paper mills while also looking after OEMs in the heavy equipment and industrial sector.

The role itself is a fully autonomous field-based sales role covering Adelaide and the surrounding area.

As an account manager, you will deal on a daily basis with purchasing managers, maintenance and production managers, and engineers. Deals will predominantly be closed over the phone by virtual meetings or face-to-face.

Your role is of high importance to the company as you are on the front line bringing in business and as such are treated as a rockstar within the team.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have cut their teeth in a sales engineering / technical sales type role and are now on the market for the next step.

Having sold a range of industrial products (i.e., mechanical, electrical, automation, drives, instrumentation) is highly desirable when applying for this position, as is some form of technical experience, either at a trade or degree level.

You may have also come from an internal sales background and are now looking to make the step into an external sales role. Our client offers an excellent remuneration package and realistic career development opportunities.
