We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The role requires assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to assist patients in improving their daily living skills.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary: This is a contract position (monthly or fortnightly), and the therapist will work directly with patients on a monthly basis to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and mental capabilities through detailed evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, techniques, and activities to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and other necessary functions.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients, their families, and caregivers to promote independence in daily living tasks.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress, maintaining detailed and accurate records of treatments, goals, and outcomes.
  • Educate patients on adaptive equipment and techniques to facilitate better function and independence.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress or changes in their condition.
  • Provide monthly reports summarizing patient progress and therapy effectiveness.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, therapy techniques, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited program.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatment methods.
    • Ability to develop personalised, evidence-based care plans.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
