Wireless Network EngineerNo experience? No problem — we can train you. This role may suit a recent engineering graduate, ex-cabler, or electrician. The key traits we seek are the ability to learn and apply engineering principles.
The role involves site work and desktop-based design surveys.
IPTel Solutions provides professional networking services across Australia and NZ, specialising in the design and installation of Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) on a commercial level.
We are seeking a full-time team member to undertake wireless LAN design and survey work.
The projects will include a mix of customer site work and office-based design work.
You should have a passion for networking, be a self-starter, and committed to self-improvement, learning, and periodic skill upgrades.
Working with new networking technologies, enthusiasm to learn and test new tech is essential.
You will be part of a team of like-minded engineers but must also be able to attend site and operate independently.
About You- Recent Ekahau experience is highly valued; training can be provided
- Enjoy customer contact, with attention to detail and focus on customer outcomes
- Ability to work independently
- Highly coachable, quick to absorb new information, follow checklists, processes, and guidelines
- Sound technical knowledge, motivated, with an interest or experience in technology
- Passionate about engineering and eager to learn and grow
- Can-do attitude, highly motivated, fast learner
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Reliable, trustworthy, positive attitude
- Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
- You must have the right to work and live in Australia
- Willingness to travel, including interstate (must have a current driver's license)
- Physically fit for site work (including low ladder work and building sites)
- Intermediate-advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in the IT industry, especially networking, is advantageous
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, or HP Aruba is advantageous
- Work with a multi-state team delivering network solutions to enterprise clients
- Work with the latest technologies, with training and vendor support

- Combination of remote and office work
