The Advanced Practitioner role is a highly skilled position that requires expertise in behaviour support, leadership, and training.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide supervision and guidance to Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  2. Develop and implement Person Centred Behaviour Support plans for complex cases, demonstrating a deep understanding of individual needs.
  3. Design and deliver training programs on Behaviour Support best practices, promoting capacity building within the team.
  4. Foster strong relationships with the local community, leveraging networks to drive positive outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with various stakeholders to build capacity and empower individuals with disabilities.
  6. Pursue project work opportunities that align with organisational goals, driving innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working with diverse populations, including those with complex needs.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a behaviour support role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Significant experience mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support Plans, ensuring seamless integration.
  • A strong background in Positive Behaviour Support approaches, with a passion for capacity building and customer rights.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse caseloads efficiently, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using new technologies to enhance service delivery and communication.
  • Eligibility to work as an NDIS Commission-approved Advanced Practitioner, with relevant qualifications and certifications.
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing, Social or Health Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Current driver's license, enabling travel to various locations as needed.
